Alex is a bristol based artist who makes relief prints alongside other participatory and performative projects. She studied Performance Writing at Dartington College of Arts where she became interested in Letterpress printmaking and began making small press poetry chapbooks with her collaborator Joanna Hope Bricher.
After graduating she travelled by cargo ship to America as an experiment in slow travel. In New York she began making relief prints inspired by Coney Island and its Mermaid Parade.
Alex continues to make relief prints inspired by journeys, the maritime and more recently connection to nature.
Alex is part of the team running the community print nights at Cato Press and created a set of wooden letterpress designed to be used for these events.
